Featured Artist/Designer: Tobi Crawford 08 06 2015

Welcome to another Featured Artist/Designer Spotlight. Today we’re thrilled to welcome Tobi Crawford. Before we show you Tobi’s project, let’s get to know her a little bit more…

TobiCrawfordProfilePic-250W-08062015Hi there! My name is Tobi Crawford and currently I am teaching Choir and Musical Theatre at a Canadian school in Shanghai, China! My degree is in Jazz and I double-majored on voice and piano and all day I am singing and playing with my kids! I needed something other than music to keep my mind occupied at night and on the weekend and that’s how I got started with paper crating. Card-making has been my passion for the past 9 years but lately mixed media is becoming a pretty huge part of my “artsy” life too.. I just love getting messy!! I don’t have one particular style of paper-crafting because I really like to try it all and just have fun.

Remember Journal Page

This is a quick and easy journal page that any stamper could easily do. I had this quote in mind when I started the page and that’s why I used the alphabet set, but this technique would work with any pattern, motif, or just repetitive stamping of an image or like-images.

Here is a video instruction for my project:

Big Timber Outline and Big Timber Lowercase (Technique Tuesday)
Tim Holtz Cling Mount Stamps “Watercolor” (Stamper’s Anonymous)
Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and Blending Tool (Ranger)
Versamark Watermark Ink Pad (Tsukineko)
Clear Embossing Powder (Stampendous!)
Watercolor Paint (Sakura)
Black Archival Ink (Ranger)

We hope you have enjoyed today’s project courtesy of Tobi Crawford. Be sure to stop by Tobi’s blog to see even more of her beautiful work (and let her know we sent you). The following are the links to find her and more of her works:
