March Design Team Projects From Michelle Joy Wecksler

Wow!  It’s hard to believe that it is already my second month on the Design Team!  Time is flying by!!!!  Spring is definitely in the air, or at least in my mind right now, so I decided I needed to play with flowers!  The Blossom Punch by Stampin’ Up! and the coordinating Mixed Bunch stamp set provided the perfect inspiration for the projects I designed for you this month.

When Spring is in the air I begin to think about cleaning out my closets and getting rid of clothes that are old or too worn.  As I looked in my closet this year, an old pair of jeans stared straight at me and I decided to do a bit of recycling!  I created this mini book with a skewer binding to hold my thoughts and dreams and the old back pocket from my jeans makes the perfect holder for the mini book!  If you are a Paper Crafter’s Library member and want to find the detailed instructions and videos on how I created the mini book and pocket just head on over to the Video Library.

Once I started punching out flowers with the Blossom Punch, I couldn’t stop!  I punched and punched and punched the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper from Sale-a-Bration.  All of those colors and patterns were the perfect way to bring Spring into my home, so I decided to online casinos create a wreath.

The Everyday Enchantment brads and ribbon (Stampin’ Up!) coordinated perfectly and some unbleached muslin provided the perfect online pokies backdrop for all of the colors of the wreath.  I even snuck in some Pear Pizzazz pleated satin ribbon!  Members can find complete instructions and a video for the wreath in the Video http://www.phpaide.com/?langue=fr&id=11 Library!

I have to confess, the Blossom Punch may have turned online casinos me into a punch addict!  I just couldn’t stop punching online slots those gorgeous flowers!!!!  So I looked around the craft room to see what else I could punch and a pile of kraft-colored tissue paper caught my eye.

At first I tried to punch through just one layer of tissue paper and that was a bit challenging.  But once I figured out that I would have much better success if I folded the tissue paper and punched through multiple layers, I was good to go!  Here is where all of the punched tissue paper flowers ended up…

For my final project I went back to the basics and decided to make a simple card.  Punches are a fun way to play around with paper piecing.  To create the flower on this card, I punched the flower from multiple styles of paper and then began to cut and glue the pieces together.  You can find a pdf with detailed directions in the Members Area of the Paper Crafter”s Library.

To see some of my other projects and free videos, just hop on over to my blog!  I am really enjoying sharing these projects with you and appreciate all of your comments!  It is wonderful being a part of such a supportive and creative community!  See you next month!!!!

  1. Wow Michelle, what great projects. I always love to look at 3D items and sigh about how mine will never look as good! 😉 I particularly like the flower vase. It would be gorgeous on an entryway table to welcome spring! Thanks again for the lovely projects.
