Hero Arts Antique Engravings Card

Today’s card features one of my favorite Hero Arts stamp sets called Antique Engravings – that’s where the butterflies come from. It also features one of my favorite collections of patterned papers from Basic Gray – the Lemonade collection.  The colors are so bright, fresh and beautiful.  This whole card actually feels to me like a little bit of spring!  All the snow had melted last week, making me hopeful that spring was around the corner, and then Saturday, we had a huge rainstorm which transitioned to freezing rain and then finally transitioned to a snow storm. 🙁

Here are supplies for today’s card:

Stamps: CL383 Antique Engravings, CL476 With Sympathy (Hero Arts)
Ink: Basic Black Craft ink (Stampin’ Up!)
Paper: Pretty in Pink CS (Stampin’ Up!), Honeybee, Pink Fizz and Sunshine patterned paper from the Lemonade collection (Basic Gray)
Accessories: Double Scallop Edger punch (Martha Stewart); Black embossing powder, heat tool, Embossing Buddy (Stampin’ Up!), pink pearls (Hero Arts)
Adhesives: mini glue dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals (Stampin’ Up!)

Have a great day!

  1. What a beautiful card, and a lovely sentiment. Sometimes it’s so hard to find just the right message. Thanks so much for sharing this!

  2. First, congrats on the Hero Arts tweet! And now, I love your card, what a beautiful colour combination with awesome papers and layout! Plus, you are using my favourite stamp set of all times! And last but not least, that sentiment, so beautiful! I love everything about this card!

  3. Awesome colors and I love the soft bling in the form of the pink half pearls.

I have been really getting into using this type of embellishment in a subtle way recently. Thanks for sharing. I love the paper too. As a quilter for 12 years this paper would be the type of fabric that I would want to buy.
