We are happy to bring you this week’s Featured Company: Verve Stamps.

Verve Stamps was started by Julee Tilman in August 2007 out of a desire to pair her passions for stamping and graphic design. Often used in the performance world, the word Verve (rhymes with curve) means “creative enthusiasm” and that’s just what we try to bring to everything we do at Verve. Our line of high quality clear stamps and coordinating steel dies feature timeless elegance, meaningful sentiments and a hint of modern whimsy. Each stamp is designed with the purpose of uplifting and encouraging others because we believe that kindness really does matter.

This week we are giving away a $25 gift code to Verve Stamps. (Details at the end of the post.)

Verve Stamps Designer – Julee Tilman

Today we welcome Julee Tilman. We are so excited to have her showcase her work today on Paper Crafter’s Library. You can see Julee’s fabulous project below, but first, here is a little more about her:

Aug15_JuleeColor250Hi, I’m Julee Tilman, a dabbler in many arts, mama to 3.5 year old twins and Owner/Illustator/Wonder Woman at Verve Stamps. I’ve been stamping for 20+ years and love a good card layout.  I offer up free card sketches every Monday on my long running Mojo Monday sketch challenge and the first Friday over every month on the Viva La Verve Sketches blog.

I absolutely adore mixed-media, distressing and lots of layers, but also thrive on trying new things and blurring the lines between styles.  On any given day it’s anyone’s guess which stamping style I’ll be sharing on my blog, Poetic Artistry.

Floral Notes

In this rustic card for fall, the luscious background paper does most of the work, drawing the eye to the crisp, white focal point.  A few elegant touches of copper embossing and randomly stamped flowers lightly dusted with Perfect Pearls powder kick this simple go-to layout up a notch.  The Floral Notes poppies are embossed in copper, then water colored with Zig Clean Color real brush markers in orange-ish hues and die cut with the coordinating Floral Notes Die Set.  A bit of vintage lace trim breaks up the background, and the card is finished off with some tea dye sponging and distressing around the edges.
