Hero Arts Designer – Kelly Rasmussen
Today we welcome Kelly Rasmussen. We are so excited to have her showcase her work today on Paper Crafter’s Library. You can see Kelly’s fabulous project below, but first, here is a little more about her:
I began making cards over 15 years ago when I was in college and have been addicted ever since. I switched out my day job as a graphic designer to become a stay-at-home mom and have been working with Hero Arts since 2009. Besides making cards I also enjoy shopping, photography, graphic design, baking and spending time with my family and friends. I live in a small town in Nebraska with my husband Lee and three children Halle, Gage and Lexi.

Color Layering Fall Trees
Today I’m excited to feature a new stamp set from Hero Arts called Color Layering Fall Trees. This set consists of a trunk, five dot patterns to make up the leaves on the tree as well as three sentiments. I used various colors of Distress Inks to create the beautiful fall leaves on the tree. I’m anxious to experiment with this set to to see if I can also make a Spring, Summer and Winter tree!
The tree is matted on a piece of watercolor cardstock that I lightly painted with with my Sakura Koi Water Colors. For the bottom layer of the card I white heat embossed the Woodgrain Bold Prints by Lia background on to some kraft cardstock. I love how delicate the lines are on this stamp — it looks great embossed or stamped tone on tone!
I finished off the card with a white heat embossed sentiment and some Glossy Accents drop on the tree.
