Welcome to another Featured Artist/Designer Spotlight. Today we’re thrilled to welcome Melissa Chipperfield. Before we show you Melissa’s project, let’s get to know her a little bit more…
I am so thrilled to be here again at Paper Crafter’s Library! I am Melissa Chipperfield from that state in the Midwest that seems to be known best for growing corn. You know, the place where the soil is rich and the people are known for being open & friendly! I love simplicity, especially when it comes to card making. Maybe it’s because I am busy raising 4 children (ages 2-11)! I am married to a computer minded, mechanically gifted, math whiz who can fix just about anything (including my crafting tool mishaps). I’m a registered dental hygienist by trade, but that is a very part time career for me right now. Over the years, I’ve developed a love for photography and am slowly working toward creating a part time photography business, Emotional Lens Photography.
I began stamping and scrapbooking back in my college days (not even going to tell you how long ago that was) when some friends and I would get together to craft. After getting married, DH and I relocated & I became friends with a gal who was an avid stamper. From there, I became passionate about card making and my stamping style evolved into clean & simple design as the years went by. My cards today look quite different than when I first started stamping! I am currently on the Precious Remembrance Shop design team & am the creator and coordinator for CASology, a clean & simple challenge blog.
Smile
There’s nothing I love more than to spend an hour or two playing with my camera! I love playing with camera themed stamps too, so grabbed one from my collection for today’s post! The camera image was stamped in three different colors and then all were fussy cut. A little red heart was stamped in the center of each camera before layering and popping them up with foam dots. I stamped the sentiment last and applied a clear gemstone.
Supplies
Stamps: Uniko Studio (Strike a Pose)
Cardstock: Paper Trey (white)
Ink: Stampin Up! (Basic Gray, Crushed Curry, Island Indigo), Memento (Tuxedo Black)
Other: clear gemstone, foam dots
Warm Wishes
I am a daily coffee drinker and just happen to have a small collection of coffee stamps in my stash! Imagine! I used a piece of a coffee insulator sleeve from my occasional Starbucks treat, paper piecing on the fussy cut coffee cup image. The assembled image was popped up with foam dots for dimension. The steam was created by stamping the stars in gold and then sponging over them with Crumb Cake ink from Stampin Up! Three gold sequins were added as a finishing touch.
Supplies
Stamps: Precious Remembrance Shop (Coffee Love, Journey – stars)
Cardstock: Paper Trey (white)
Ink: Stampin Up! (Crumb Cake), Memento (Tuxedo Black), Encore (Gold)
Other: gold sequins, coffee cup insulator sleeve, foam dots
Thanks again for including me as a guest feature at Paper Crafter’s Library! I’m honored!
