Technique Thursday: Faux Letterpress Using Die Cut Images

Every Thursday on Paper Crafter’s Library is Technique Thursday – This is where we create and feature projects for our Club 52 online class (our year-long technique club), which our Paper Crafter’s Library members also access as a free benefit of their membership. We’re now on week 30, and we’re learning a faux letterpress technique using die cut images.  In the first tag Soph inks up a die cut image to use as her “stamp” and then runs the die cut image and her tag through the Big Shot to transfer the ink onto her tag.  In the second tag Soph uses the die cut images as “masks” on her tag.  She then sponges the surface of the tag.  When the sponging is done and you remove the die cut images, you are left with a beautiful faux letterpress look.
