Today’s project is fast and simple. My son needed some can’s to put his little trinkets in, such as toy soldiers, mini cars, ect. I wanted them to be both fun and functional. I also decided it would be fun to show how to make these simple cans. This can, features a fun corset style back, which shows a little peek-a-boo of the contrasting paper on the backside. The paper is not long enough to go all the way around, which necessitated the use of the corset back. this allows the back to look like it was shortened on purpose. In order to successfully string the back, you are going to need to re-inforce the back with CS before applying the jumbo eyelets. Eyelets were applied with my crop-a-dile. The image is made with my Cricut, and is from the Boys will be Boys cartridge. The end result is a very cute storage medium for kids to place on their shelves.

- Ink: Broken China, Aged Mahogany, Vintage Photo Distress ink (Ranger Inc)
- Dies/Cartridges: Boys will be Boys cartridge (Cricut), Pinked circle nestability (Spellbinder), clouds (Papertrey)
- Other: Big Shot, Cuttlebug circle folder, Sticky Strip, dimensionals, Copic markers, sponges, Stardust stickles (Ranger ink), white gel pen, Crop-a-Dile, Jumbo eyelet (Stampin’Up!), 1/4″ Cream Organza ribbon (retired Stampin’Up!)
Love this! Storage is always difficult, and this is a great way to get it done in style. Thanks for sharing the corset idea. I like it much better than trying to piece things together and match patterns!!
Sophia, this is adorable! Little boys do seem to collect lots of little things, and I too struggle with where to put it all! Can I ask, what kind of can did you use? I would love to make one too!
