Featured Artist/Designer: Marcie Sharp 09 10 2015

Welcome to another Featured Artist/Designer Spotlight. Today we’re thrilled to welcome Marcie Sharp. Before we show you Marcie’s project, let’s get to know her a little bit more…

MarcieSharpProfilePic-250W-09102015Thank you so much to Paper Crafter’s Library for asking me back for another Featured Artist spotlight! Just to refresh your memory, I am a momma of two, happily married, fun-loving cardmaker from rural Ontario, Canada. If I’m not making cards I can be found geocaching with my family, curled up with a good book, or happily daydreaming. I enjoy experimenting with many cardmaking styles and although I gravitate towards making clean and graphic creations, I can easily incorporate layers and lots of fun elements into my cards. I love to use white space with pops of bright and bold colours and really like using new and fun products that make cardmaking easier.  Recently I’ve been having loads of fun experimenting with techniques that have found me getting messy with inks, texture pastes and watercolours, and I can’t wait to use them on my creations.  Currently I guest design for Butterfly Reflections, Ink, and I have lots of more fun stuff ahead of me!

Congrats Baby Card

We have had a baby boom in our area recently and I’ve found myself creating new baby cards left and right! I pulled out some of my favourite Waffle Flower Crafts stamps to make two similar cards for today’s feature.

Adding soft watercolours over top of white heat embossing creates such a pretty look! A bold sentiment and some sparkly sequins finish off these cards. Changing up the colours used make it easy to coordinate for the baby’s gender. Pale yellows and soft greens would be perfect for a gender neutral card.
