Brace yourself for a wild literary ride, because today’s post is all about punny word play!  So many stamp designers have jumped on the bandwagon to produce stamp sets that use plays on words and puns to convey adorable messages. I had a hard time narrowing down my list for this post and found myself smiling as I looked at these cards.  Hopefully these puns will bring a bright spot to your day!

Speaking of “bright spots,” Jody’s card using My Favorite Things’ “Watt’s Up?” stamp set really showcases that adorable lightbulb die!

After a rough day, perhaps you or a friend could use a card like this adorable one by Debby. I love the clean and simple look of this card.

This second card by Debby gets her message across so effectively. The way she used stitching to continue the shelf on the top layer is such a great effect.

Chari’s soy sauce bottles have such cute faces. Wouldn’t this card be perfect for a recently engaged couple that likes to cook?

The background on Tobi’s card is beautiful and really allows the sentiment to stand out. How could a person not smile when receiving a card like this one?!

Simon Says Stamp sells this great “Best Fishes” stamp set, and Pamela’s card is incredible! She made a shaker card that is clear on both sides, so you can see through to the fish in the bowl, with little glittery rocks for the bottom of the bowl in the front. What an amazing card!

Mayuri’s card is so colorful and continues in the water theme, but with a totally different set from Neat & Tangled. I love how she made the background for this card with individual stamps.

These new hedgehogs from Lawn Fawn are so adorable, and Nichol’s card really features them well.

The second card by Nichol also features Lawn Fawn stamps. The night sky that she created for the background of this card is just gorgeous. She really captures what the northern lights look like out in the woods!

Maybe you can come up with a punny sentiment for one of your next cards!  I’d love to see it!
