Thanks a Bunch

I love working with Karen Lockhart’s imges.  They are beatiful to color, and the images are homey and un-pretentious.

I really enjoy the coloring portion of card making, and I really enjoy working in different mediums.  Copics are no exeption, they are such a fun medium to work in!  They are so intense, so rich, and capable of a great varied look.  They can put up with a lot of abuse, and are great for the novice and professional alike.  In the upcoming months, you will see a variety of videos using Copic markers.  This is definitely one medium which you will love playing with!

Supplies:

  • Stamps:  Lockhart stamps
  • Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Ranger Industries Distress Ink in:  Tumbled Glass, Vintage Photo, Peeled Paint
  • Paper:  SU Naturals White, SU Early Espresso, Copic Xpress, SU Tall Tales DP
  • Coloring Mediums:  Copics, Prismacolor Green pencils
  • Other:  SU Stampin’  Sponges, Cuttlebug, Spellbinder Labels 3, Crystal Effects, SU Dazzling Diamonds glitter, SU 5/8″  Real Red Satin Ribbon

  1. so very pretty, makes me think of summer and homemade apple pies… lovely card Sophia. p.s I love the shading technique you use.

  2. As Always I just love what you bring to us! I love this chair, reminds me of the porch I want around my house so I can put my chair on it and sit. Funny what comes to mind when you see something that touches you. Great job!

  3. Beautiful, Sophia. I must take time to relax and enjoy my markers. I only have Tombows and SU so must use watercolour paper, but it’s time I broke them out again and played. Thank you for the inspiration.

  4. Just had to come to PCL blogsite to see what was going on there. I see that you are now adding other market products. There are so many great things out there that can be used to create adorable cards. This is one a great one.

  5. What a beautiful card. It makes me long for those lovely lazy summer afternoons. The colours are so vibrant. I would love to hear more about the brand of stamps, I have never heard of them, but this one in particular is beautiful. Again, thanks so much !

  6. Back when I was teaching, I always looked for stamps with apples. I still look even though my teaching days are done because I have teacher friends.

  7. Wow… that colouring is amazing- the colours are just perfect- even the sky and the grass has depth. I wish I had that level of skill!
