“Thank You” Card

Today I wanted to share a card with you featuring some more of the Hero Arts stamps I received for free at CHA along with a DP from one of my favorite collections of Bo Bunny paper – the Alyssa collection.  I just love the fun patterns and the bright colors.  I also loved how the dots on the paper coordinate with the dots on the flower petals – and since there was a “dot theme” going on, I decided to continue it on by dry embossing my card front with Stampin’ Up’s Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and with the Martha Stewart Double Scallop Edger punch.

To color my flower I simply used some of my Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Write markers and used a “faux blending” technique I learned from Jennifer McGuire at the Hero Arts Class at CHA.

Today’s card uses the following supplies:

Stamps: “Thank You” greeting from the Sweet Threads Thank You stamp set; Flower from the Lauderdale Floral stamp set (Hero Arts)
Ink: Basic Black Craft ink, Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Write Marker, Regal Rose Stampin’ Write Marker (Stampin’ Up!)
Paper: 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of “Look At Me” patterned paper from the Alyssa collection (Bo Bunny); a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Basic Black CS and a 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Basic Black CS punched and then trimmed to 2″ x 3 3/4″, a 1 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ piece and a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Pink Pirouette CS, scrap of Whisper White CS (Stampin’ Up!)
Accessories: Double Scallop Edger punch (Martha Stewart); Black embossing powder, heat tool, Embossing Buddy, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Big Shot, Crop-a-dile (Stampin’ Up!); So Cute iCandy brads (Bo Bunny);
Adhesives: Stampin’ Dimensionals (Stampin’ Up!); Scotch 1/2″ Double Sided Adhesive (Scotch 3M)
