Welcome to another edition of Freebie Friday! Today we’re going to spotlight the Holly Jolly Christmas collection – a fun and whimsical collection by Echo Park. I’m going to share with you a couple of different projects I made using that collection, I’ll give you details about this week’s give-away, aaaaand, I’m going to announce the winner from last week’s Freebie Friday!
Echo Park is another company that I was first “introduced” to at CHA (Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show) in Chicago this past summer. I had never heard of them before either and didn’t really own any of their product. What I immediately loved about their company is that all their products are released in collections – while you can buy the papers and accessories separately, they put together a “kit” for ALL of their collections. I personally love working with collections because it makes coordinating various products and elements so easy.

Today I’ve created a few projects with this collection. The first, is the Merry and Bright Christmas Card picture below. It uses a combination of patterned papers and incorporates other elements such as buttons, ribbon and twine. The main focal point uses a sticker from the Element sheet included in the collection. The second project I created using this collection is this Holiday Note Pad Holder. It is sized to fit the 3 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ note pads we carry in the Sunny Stampin’ Store. The covers were created out of chipboard and it’s hinged at the top. There is a ribbon loop to hold the pen in place, and a silver elastic cord closure to keep it closed. ANY paper crafting item would be welcome, but if I had to choose just one to find under the tree, it would be some type of scoring board. There are quite a few on the market, but I don’t have one yet!

What a fantastic collection. Having everything put together for you in a collection makes figuring out all the coordinating pieces a whole lot easier. Wow, only one paper crafting item under the tree…how can I pick just one when there are sooo many to pick from. What would be the ideal gift for me would be a very large Visa gift card to buy everything thing I want, LOL. But if I had to narrow it down, I would say more Copic markers to add to my very small collection.

Great paper pack! Love the colors! I’d have t say if I could have anything under my tree it would be a basket of all those little things I think are neat and haven’t bought yet — the powder bottle to remove adhesive, the jewel picker-upper, liquid tombo, finger exacto knife, and I bunch of other little stuff I ew and aw about all the time!

I love Echo Park there collections are just awesome. Seeing the above comment I would have to say a paper cutter that actually cuts straight all the time would be a real treat under the tree. I have tried everything and they may start off good but all cutters seem to end up cutting crooked. It is very frustrating and it sure is a paper waster. I love my papercrafting and I love all my tools my favourites are my cricuit, big shot and my punches. They all add so much to what a person is making. Papercrafting is a rewarding hobby and I love it.
I too am loving Echo Parks collections. How cool of you to showcase them here. I just discovered them at a class at CKC Seattle a few weeks ago. I would love to find a 12″ wide electronic die cutter – Silhouette or Cricut under my tree. I love the things I’ve seen you all do here with the large format cutters.. I have the smaller die cutters – Big Shot, original Silhouette, and Grand Caliber and love them. But if you’re going to dream you migt as well dream big! 🙂

Even though I thought it was such a cheat in card crafting, I am now totally wanting a Silhouette Cameo. I don’t think that’s something Santa will bring, so will just have to save my own pennies! The Holly Jolly Christmas Collection is so full of fun – perfect for the christmas season. I love bright and cheery christmas papers and strive to make my cards with this in mind and how perfect would this collection be?! The one papercraft item i would love under the tree is a scor-pal. I never really thought it necessary until a friend lent me theirs to have a play with. And play i did. I was gobsmacked at how much faster and easier it was to make my projects – both cards and 3d items. So please santa if you are reading this remember my scor-pal this year…. pretty please!

I would like more storage for my stamping goodies, primarily cardstock. I love to stamp, and when I don’t have time to stamp, I love buying stamps. Over the years I’ve accumulated many beautiful things but I struggle with how to store them so I can access what I need when I need it. Alas, I know I will never have a crafting room. Therefore, I would love a storage unit that kept cardstock corners crisp and had many sections for different colors.

I would love to see the Echo Park Holly Jolly Christmas Collection under the tree. Being new to stamping and card-making, I had no idea such products were available. Everything I have received from the Sunny Stampin store has been fabulous, so I can only imagine how wonderful this product looks in person! Truly appreciate your tutorials, your kits, and web classes. All instructions on how to make a particular paper craft project or cards are explained thoroughly.
I’ve just discovered Echo Park as well – think that I’ll be buying lots of it in the coming months! I would love to see a heat tool for embossing under the tree this year.

What I am in desperate need of is a craft storage system that I can close up to hide the “projects in progress.” With limited space, storage is always a challenge. and the using my dining room table means constantly packing stuff up after every crafting session. I would love a Sizzix Big Shot – I saw one of these in action a few months ago and as soon as I saw all the things it can do I knew I needed one. However being a stay at home Mum and a single income family, it will be a long time before I will be able to afford to buy my own. In the meantime I will just have get more friendly with a friend of a friend who has one!

The two craft items you made are right on time for the holiday. I love Echopark! I keep saying I have enough paper, but Echo Park just makes it SO HARD to live up to that! I gotta say….it would be great for under my tree, and I would love to have some spellbinders under my tree, and well, there is just not enough time to write down EVERYTHING I’d like, but I will just be content with what I have!
A magic craft cleaning fairy – to put everything back after I have crafted as I seem to spend more time trying to find my craft space than actually crafting!
I think my heart would literally melt to pieces if I found a Silhouette Machine under my tree. That thing looks amazing.
Ever since I started card making in Jan 2011 I found that paper crafting has become a major addiction/obsession to me. I literally spend every weekend at Michaels using a coupon to buy something. So if I saw products that they do not have at Michaels, I’d probably fall in love with it in a heartbeat!

What a wonderful idea to have the collection in kit form. One or two (I’m not greedy, just love it all!) of the kits would be the best thing to find under the Christmas tree this year. Then I would need some shelving to store all my papers, punches, stamps and stamp pads, glues, tape, ribbons in.

I just love everything Christmas! I’ve been making my Christmas cards for the last several years. This year I chose to use 2 of your kits to get me started. As far as your question goes… what would I like under the tree? My first choice would be a subscription to your online library! My second choice would be some crafty item that I didn’t have to buy myself… I have figured out the only way to do that is to put a few items on hold and then send my dear hubby to the craft store and let him pick out something… (it works with clothes too… and I never have to return gifts that are duplicates or don’t fit!)

As for what product I would like this year…hmmmmmmm…it is not necessarily a product. What I really need is to expand my craft space. That way I won’t have to haul my stuff back and forth between my dining space and my craft space several times a day. I need that precious time for crafting not to play “mover”.

Once again, thank you so very much for sharing your tutorials and tips. Both you ladies are so talented!!! As for something under the Christmas tree….I think this would have to be Spellbinders. I love, love these and have just purchased the Grand Calibur so I would love to receive a new die for this machine. The Echo Park line of Christmas papers you used for the tutorial was a hit with me…I will see if I can purchase some of these items at my local stamping store.

I love this collection, it’s bright and colourful! I think the one thing I would like to see under the tree is a Cricut. I know I’m one of the last people to own one (lol), so I think Santa needs to know it’s about time I have one! 🙂
