Peas in a Pod

One of my favorite things to color are images of fruits and vegetables.  The colors are always so vibrant and rich, the highlights are distinct and there are just so many wonderful textures happening!  This beautiful pea image is no exception.  I colored this image using a “watercoloring with markers” technique which we feature on Paper Crafter’s Library as part of our special section on Coloring and Watercoloring Techniques.  The intense colors of this technique are just perfect for showing off this beautiful image.

  1. This Peas in a Pod card is too freakin’ cute and love, love the layering! Thank you again for sharing your incredible creativity and joy of paper-crafting!

  2. Hi Andrea and Sophia, I’m so glad you are going to continue on. And now you have another new site to share your talent with us. Sophia, you did a beautiful job watercoloring. Even though I’m a SU demo (I’m my own customer), I love variety. Can’t wait to see what you come up with.

  3. Andrea and Sophia–just wanted to wish you both the best of luck on your new blog! I know that with the talent and generosity that the two of you possess, anything you start will be successful! Congratulations on the new launch!

  4. I also love fruits and vegetables. Your card is beautiful. I will be visiting your Blog for more inspiring ideas.

  5. So I am not really into veggies, on cards not for real to eat, but it is an idea to use up some of that old green DP that I have so much of. Nice coloring.

  6. The coloring is just great and I love the peas. I also love the coloring of the blue background and the fine dotted detailes. And finally how you set the peas in the 3-D. Great, as always! Hugs Jasmin

  7. Oh My Sophie…this card is ADORABLE!!! I LOVE IT. I can’t tell you both how excited I am to enjoy another amazing website of yours…It’s a dream come true!!

  8. Too stinkin cute! I love the watercolor you did! Watercoloring has become my new favorite technique. Thanks for sharing.

  9. I think i’m going to love this new site. Now that you aren’t limited to SU! products I can’t imagine what we will see. You are both so artistic!

  10. Love this! The colors are so intense and beautiful as always. I love that we’ll be seeing more non-SU products on this site since I own way more other companies’ products. The idea of winning a 2-week PCL membership is wonderful. Also the fact that if you’re already a member, you have the opportunity to win something else is so generous.

  11. Congrats on yours new site. Love the name and I look forward to seeing marvelous creations on here. What a wonderful thing to have your dreams come true. Keep up your great ideas. Thanks. ekc
