My name is Andrea Walford, and I’m the Creative Director and Founder of Paper Crafter’s Library.
I am an avid paper crafter, art journaler and mixed media artist with a passion for teaching, sharing and inspiring others towards creativity.
I have spent the last 10 years teaching and inspiring thousands of paper crafter’s around the world with my in-person and online classes, my digital tutorials, my series of kits, and now Paper Crafter’s Library.
I launched Paper Crafter’s Library in 2011 with the dream of creating one place you could go that would give you a snapshot of what was new and hot in the paper crafting world which was also filled with plenty of creative inspiration to get your muse going.
Paper Crafter’s Library consists of a public blog and a member area.
Each week on the public blog you’ll find tons of information and inspiration including:
- Trend Watch – each Tuesday one of our Trends Reporters fills us in on what’s new, hot and/or trending in the paper crafting world
- Featured Company – every Wednesday we feature a different company or manufacturer and introduce you to one of their product lines. As part of their feature one of their designers shares one or more project ideas and they sponsor a give-away.
- Featured Artist/Designer Spotlights – on Thursdays we showcase the work of a talented paper crafter or mixed media artist.
- Video Tutorials
- Creative Inspiration
If you’re looking for more in-depth learning at all paper crafting levels – beginner through to advanced – then you may want to consider becoming a Paper Crafter’s Library member.
For one low monthly fee you receive access to a library of over 2000 paper crafting video tutorials organized into a video library – indexed by product, technique and project type – making it easy for you to find what you are looking for!
Stamping, card making, scrapbooking, 3D items, altered art, art journaling and mixed media – there is something for everyone.
Along with that we have a team of experienced designers/educators (you can meet them below) creating over 25 new project videos for our members EACH month.
The best part is, that membership costs less than what you would pay if you signed up for one online class a month!
I share my life with my husband Todd, 5 children (6, 8, 11, 14 and 16), my 94 year old Grandpa, and our dog Ginger. Irene joined the family as our full-time nanny 6 years ago, making it possible for me to focus on building my online business.
When not working I enjoy date nights with my husband, spending time with the kids, art journaling, reading, cooking and working out at the gym.
In addition to Paper Crafter’s Library I share some of my artwork on my blog Andrea Walford Designs, and I have a personal blog A Fierce Fabulous Life – where I share recipes I create and tips for living a happy and fulfilling life.
Meet My Team
PCL Designer/Educators
I began as a Paper Crafter’s Library Design Team member and have now joined the team as a Designer/Educator. I am proud to be a self-proclaimed artist! I strongly believe that each of us has unique creative gifts to bring into this world and I try to do my best to inspire myself and others to tap into that wealth of creativity! I live in Denver, Colorado and am humbled by the gorgeous Rocky Mountains on a daily basis. I live with my partner Michael and our four-legged kids: Loki the cat and Buddy the dog. I have been a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator for 7 years and have had numerous projects published in Paper Crafts magazine. You can visit me at my blog Figments of My Imagination.
My name is Leigh Penner and I live in Morden, Manitoba, Canada with my husband of 17 years and our three children. I work as a substitute teacher, which I enjoy, because it allows me to work the same hours/days as my children as well as gives me days off to craft! I have been scrapbooking for over ten years now and started cardmaking and stamping about three years ago, when I purchased my first die cutting machine and some clear stamps online. I love both forms of paper crafting evenly and would have a hard time choosing between the two! I would describe my style as CAS & pretty, with stitching 99% of the time. I am currently on the following design teams: Reverse Confetti, Pretty Pink Posh, Chickaniddy Crafts and CAS(E) This Sketch. You can find me on my blog at http://leighpenner.blogspot.ca/
I live in the Chicagoland area with my wonderful husband, son, and daughter. I work full-time as Graphic Designer/Pre-Press Operator at a small print company. I I started papercrafting around 1997, but I ended up just hoarding supplies and not completing any projects. A few years ago, my love of papercrafting was rekindled when I was invited to scrapbook at a friendís house. I have been obsessed ever since!!! I am thrilled to be joining this amazing team!!!
Hi, I’m Christy, and I’m a writer, a reader, a world-traveler, a dreamer, and friend. I’ve made my home in such exotic locals as Honduras, Germany, and Cameroon, West Africa, before returning to my hometown of Erie, Pennsylvania to settle down and raise my beautiful family. I’m married to my soulmate, and we have three wonderfully precocious boys who definitely keep things lively. I’ve always been a crafty girl, but I didn’t discover paper crafting until January of 2010. At the same time, I started my blog, Christy Gets Crafty, to document my journey. I love card making especially, because it’s all about putting love on paper and giving it away.
I’ve been crafting in one way or another most of my life – but paper crafting is my favourite! I am a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, and in fact was one of the first Canadian demonstrators when the opportunity came to this country. I continue to enjoy teaching and sharing paper crafting with others both in person and online through my website http://www.yamstamps.com . When not working on that, I work in the community as a physiotherapist. I am the proud mother of one teenaged son, who keeps me on my toes constantly, which can come in handy for my interest in running – to the point where I’ve managed to complete 3 marathons. My interests also include travelling, singing and music in general. I’m looking forward to being part of the PCL team and sharing more information on MDS – because digital and hybrid crafting is perfect for letting digital photos live somewhere else than just the memory card or computer.
Hi there, this is Jennifer Rzasa. I teach elementary music in a public school just outside of Boston, MA, and I live in a small apartment with my amazing husband. Paper crafting is just one of my hobbies (among sewing, cooking, painting, skateboarding, cosplaying, making jewelry, etc…) – but it is definitely my favorite! I especially love making cards- it’s such a wonderful feeling to create something in just a small amount of time that can make both yourself and someone else extremely happy!
I’m Tracy and I am a 24 year old college student. I graduated in May of 2012 with a Psychology degree and now I’m back in school going for a Graphic Design degree. I have been creating for as long as I can remember, doing projects with beads, paper, string, glue, you name it! Now, I love to make cards using fun techniques and stamps!
You can follow Tracy on her blog, You Tube, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest & Twitter.
Hi it’s Therese and I’m so excited to be a part of the Papercrafter’s Library. I live in Australia with my husband and two adorable cats and have been making cards for 10 years. I like to try many different styles but my ‘go to’ style I would have to say is clean and simple, I also really enjoy the challenge of trying out new techniques. I started my Youtube channel 3 years ago and love to film my cards as I create. That is why I am so happy to be one of the Designer / Educator’s so now I can share my passion with you and you can share the card making process with me and I hope that you will learn something along the way.
You can see more Therese’s work on her blog, YouTube Channel, Facebook and Pinterest.
My name is Yana Smakula, I’m 20-smth years old and I’m from Ukraine. I’ve been married for a little bit over three years now, no kids but we do have two black cats and we can’t live without them! I love to travel and meet new people, discover new cultures and just explore. So far together with my husband we’ve been to a few places in Europe, Africa, Asia and USA. Our next dream destination is Madagascar, I hear the nature there is simply breathtaking! I enjoy scrapbooking and I mostly scrapbook about our travels (I often take long pauses from scrapbooking when I have no new travel photos to scrapbook). My other passion is cardmaking – I enjoy trying new products and techniques, experimenting and creating in different styles. I’m very much into stamping and die cutting although I never really though I was until I took a closer look at my cards and noticed almost all of them use stamps and dies! You can see more of Yana’s work on her blog, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.
Trend Reporters
Although I have always had a creative outlet in one form or another, I got hooked on paper crafting when a good friend of mine taught me how to wet emboss. I was thrilled with the alchemy of changing a blank piece of paper into golden communication. I have been paper crafting for over 10 years now. I do some mixed media projects and have made a few scrapbook pages. My true love is making greeting cards because they are meant to be shared. I personally love getting mail and I share that mailbox thrill with others. I sell my greeting cards on Etsy under the store name Plays Nicely with Paper. When I am not crafting or on Pinterest, I work in marketing research and love talking to people to figure out what is important to them. My husband Richard and I are working on creating new additions to our family. In the meantime, he happily lets me buy all the crafts I want – as long as they stay in my craft room.
Hi, I’m Laurie Davenport. I live in Cincinnati, OH, where I currently work as a postdoctoral fellow, doing scientific research. My husband is a pastor, and I enjoy being involved in his work at our church. I have been following many paper crafting blogs over the past few years and am excited to now be branching out to do some writing myself. I’ve got my own blog up and running now, paperchemistry.wordpress.com, and am looking forward to sharing creations, participating in challenges, and getting feedback from all of you!
My name is Lucinde van Ballegooijen. I’m a graphic designer who loves to create, digital and handmade. My mother loves crafting and taught me a lot of stuff, so I kind of grew up with it. The last couple of years crafting really became my biggest hobby. When I have enough free time I’m creating cards or jewelry and when I’m not creating I’m exploring the internet for new ideas, techniques and materials. You can see more of my work at www.lucilight.nl
