Although a little more time consuming than some of my other cards, I have to say I really enjoyed putting this scene together.  I love it when a card can have lots of elements yet still have a clean feel to it’s design, and I think that it’s all the white space and clean lines of the images and elements that contribute to this effect for this card.

Notice the beautiful soft snowy background?  It all started with a gorgeous bokeh patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn Snow Day 6×6 petite paper pack.  I expanded on the effect by creating a little more dimension using my Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow stencil and my white Wendy Vecchi Embossing Paste.  I then glitzed it up with some of Wow! Embossing Powder’s Clear Sparkle Embossing glitter.

In addition to the snowfall background paper I also used a couple of other patterns from the paper pack to create the frame and the banner.  I LOVE all the patterns the come in the paper pack and can’t wait to use more of them!

  35. I love the card but I have to be honest with you and tell you that watching a video that fast makes me dizzy.

    1. Hi Elizabeth,

Sorry you found it too fast. Unfortunatley it’s always a balance trying to make sure you show what you are doing without the process taking long – which can make for a long and tedious video.

      Take Care,

      Andrea

  36. Sweet card! It might look simple and casual, but it’s certainly a lot of work. Thanks for the technique hints.

  37. This card is gorgeous – I love this Lawn Fawn set! Great video too! And thank you for the chance to win a free membership! Keeping my fingers crossed on this one!

  38. I love birch trees, so I liked this before I ever even saw it. BUT once I did see it I liked it for the card itself, not just the subject! Really like what you did with the stencil, paste and embossing powder over the DP. It’s a subtle touch, at least in the video, but adds depth and dimension. Perhaps it’s more obvious IRL. Thanks for sharing this video and of course, I’m excited at the chance to win a 3 month subscription.n to PCL .
