Special May Arts Guest Designer

Today we a special project for you created by May Arts Guest Designer Jennifer Cowles.  You can see Jennifer’s fabulous project below, but first, here is a little more about Jennifer:

I work in the IT Department by day and Scrap and Sew after the kiddos go to sleep by night.  I have 3 cutie pies ages 13-7 who give me tons to scrap about.

I have been doing some sort of crafting my entire life and my day just doesn’t feel complete without making something.  I love a challenge and can make just about anything. I love ribbon and really can’t make something that doesn’t have at least one piece of ribbon on it some place.
 
May Arts Creative Project

For my project I took a plain 9×6 spiral notebook and gave it a beautiful new cover in just a few spare moments.  On the bottom corner of my patterned paper I did a little silk ribbon embroidered rose with some french knot flowers clustered on the sides.

The May Arts leaf ribbon is perfect to wind around and through some of the flower clusters.  Using the May Arts bakers twine I quickly embroidered “Notes” along the bottom, and woven through a doily towards the top to tie everything together.  After all the fun details were applied I adheared it to the notebook along with a cute polka-dot ribbon along the spiral to tie it all together.  It immediately went from bleh to WOW, in no time at all.
