Today we have Hero Arts designer Kelly Rasmussen to share a fabulous project with us. You can see her project below but first, let’s introduce you to her:
Kelly began making cards when she was in college and has been addicted ever since. She quit her day job at a graphic designer to become a stay-at-home mom and has been working with Hero Arts since 2009.
Besides making cards she also enjoys shopping, volleyball, photography, graphic design, baking and spending time with her family and friends. Kelly lives in a small town in Nebraska with her husband Lee and three children Halle, Gage and Lexi.
I paired up the Hero Arts Stamp Your Story line of products with the Hero Arts Daubers to create this bright and artistic-looking card.
You can use the Daubers just like ink — the ink splotches were stamped using the Neon Pink, Neon Orange and Neon Yellow Daubers. And to create those orange splatters in the background I just mixed the Neon Orange Dauber with a little water on my craft sheet and then flicked it on the card with a paintbrush. I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder on some Hero Arts Pool Layering Paper, which is a perfect match to the Tide Pool Dauber that i used to stamp the brush stroke across the card.
In order to enter the give-away to win the prize package shown above, please leave us a comment in the comments section of this post. Winner will be announced next Wednesday on the Paper Crafter’s Library blog!

Hero Arts has always made great stamps, but I am so excited by the new Your Story line as well as the paint daub bers. Thanks for the chance to see them in action in this beautiful card and to win some of their product.
love the stamp set! and the day-glo colors of the card!
I’ve had my eye on all those neon daubers and that stamp set for some time. The stencils in the prize pkg look like they’d be very handy. I’ve always liked Hero Arts products. They’ve recently paired with OWH to produce some great stamps that benefit the organization. I like supporting companies that support causes. This card and sentiment are so “me.” I can’t put on clean clothes without somehow getting them dirty or stained within an hour or two. My nickname growing up was Pigpen. These splotches and the streak of color look like some of the stains I’ve got on my clothes. I have a lot of gardening and paint shirts because of my propensity to make a mess. 😉 At least Kelly’s splotches and streaks are well thought out. Thanks for another great company overview. I knew HA was a US company, but didn’t know it was a family-run, green-certified and solar-powered company. I enjoy reading about the company backgrounds.
I love Hero Arts they are always one step ahead of the other manufacturers when it comes to inks and such. I have not seen the daubers in action and I totally love them The bright colors and the way Kelly just “splatted” (is that a word?) them across the card is adorable. I m in love with the card and the colors, so bright and cheerful!!!
Thank you Andrea and Hero Arts for the chance to win this awesome package!!!!

I love Hero Arts. Their products are so innovative! I have been wanting to try the new daubers, but haven’t had a chance yet. Thanks for some ideas on how to use them!
What a coincidence!! I just finished making a splatter card before checking out this post. One thing I didn’t do was the brush stroke across the panel — I like that added touch and will have to do that on my next card. I love this new trend with the splatters, which is saying a lot for me because normally I am a vintage/shabby chic person. Love that Hero Arts has jumped on this trend!! Thanks for awesome tutorial.
Love Hero Arts, I make cards for Operation Write Home and love using there stamps. TFS.
