Welcome to another Featured Artist/Designer Spotlight. Today we’re thrilled to welcome Nichol Magourik. Before we show you Nichol’s project, let’s get to know her a little bit more…
I have been paper crafting and stamping for sixteen years. During that time, I have been published in many different scrapbooking publications and idea books, have contributed to several manufacturer’s design teams and teach online classes. Currently, I work with Lawn Fawn, Mama Elephant, Simon Says Stamp, Pretty Pink Posh, and Kerri Bradford Studio. I also regularly update my blog with new projects and how-to videos. I am passionate about stamping and card making and hardly a day goes by where I don’t create something. I reside in Kansas with my husband, Chad, and our three children.
Warm Wishes
I am addicted to creating shaker cards! Not only are they on trend and interactive, they are fun to imagine and create! This snowman shaker card features ideas on creating a snowy Distress Ink and stenciled background, Copic coloring a stamped image, stamping on acetate/transparencies and assembling the shaker.
You can watch a video on how I created this card below.

Always enjoy Nichol’s creations…. and who doesn’t like a shaker card!
Isn’t it astonishing just how much equipment and supplies it takes to create one really cute card!?!? Shaker cards are just plain fun!
This has got to be one of the CUTEST shaker cards I’ve seen yet. Nichol, you are definitely right up there with Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire as my top 3 designers that I follow religiously! I love what you ladies do and I am ALWAYS inspired by you!!! Thank you for all that you do in the crafting world…
I love making shaker cards and Nichols card is just gorgeous, love those shiny sequins.
Such a very cute and fun card!
What a very sweet and so cute Shaker Card! I follow Jennifer McGuire’s Blog and she is constantly raving about you Nichol. Now I am beginning to understand why. Thank you for the inspiration, and introduction, PCL. I am saving this and will be figuring out how to make my own Shaker Card (after I mail out this Christmas’ Cards) for next year. I like to plan, and create, ahead for next year. I also need some Winter Birthday Wishes, and Thank You, Cards (and this design would be perfect).
I love Nichol’s work!
