Welcome to another Featured Artist/Designer Spotlight. Today we’re thrilled to welcome Libby Hickson.  Before we show you Libby’s project, let’s get to know her a little bit more…

LibbyHicksonProfilePic-10302014-250WHi! I’m Libby and I’m so honored to be featured here on The Paper Crafter’s Library! I’m originally from Michigan, moved to Texas after college and now my family and I have settled outside of Atlanta, Georgia. While my husband works hard to support our family (and my addictive hobby!), I am a very busy PTA & soccer mom with my kids, who are in 1st & 3rd grades. I come from an extremely talented family of artists, musicians and theater people, but I never actually thought of myself as creative until I discovered scrapbooking and rubber stamping. As is the case for many stampers, it all began with an invitation to a Stampin’ Up party! I started my blog in April of 2007, never dreaming of the opportunities it would open for me. I’ve enjoyed my time on several design teams over the years, and currently work for Hero Arts as well as writing the monthly newsletter at i {heart} papers. I love all things ink and paper and I especially love my stamps! You can visit me at my blog, Libby’s Little Addiction, as well as on Instagram and Twitter.

Crafty Friends Card

Today I’m sharing a fun card I made featuring one of my favorite message stamps from Hero Arts – because really, crafty friends ARE the best of friends! I created a watercolored background, then stamped the message in white pigment ink and clear embossed. I distressed the edges of the watercolor paper and added sequins and little twine bows which tie in to the burlap paper in the background.
