September Design Team Project: Garland Card by Keren Baker

 Hi Everybody!

Today’s my day at the Paper Crafters Library and my project  is based on a trend that seems to be gaining popularity. The bunting craze which has swept the crafting world off its feet looks like it might have some competition. I guess you could say that its simply bunting but vertical ! It’s another way of using up little scraps of all your favourite patterned papers and when combined with twine, makes a quick and easy card useful for most occasions.

If you want to see the video to check out how to make it, go to the video section of the website where you’ll see this weeks other projects too.

If you’re not a member, don’t worry, there are some great freebie video tutorials that’ll give you a tiny taster of the 100’s and 100’s of videos to view as a member. Check out here to see why its worth joining our fantastic community.

Hope you get time to be creative today! Check out my blog for more inspiration! See you next month.

  1. Hi Karen–What a fun, colorful card and versatile card–love it!! You are one creative lady, and it’s fun to see you here at PCL. This card offers so many possibilities–using up those designer scraps as you say, playing with all the fun twine I’m gathering and with the punches that are gathering dust! A great card for cheering up a friend or celebrating a birthday!

  2. I always enjoy your guest appearances and projects. I Pinned a similar card to this not long ago. It appealed to my attempts to use up scraps. I know some papercrafters don’t save anything that can’t be used for a card front, but if I like the paper I’ll save a piece that’s an inch square. I have a 1″ circle punch, after all! 😉 I also like the layout. Just changing the papers and sentiment makes a card like this able to be used for any occasion. That’s another thing I look for when saving ideas. I’ll be Pinning this one, too.
