Decorated Gift Box

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends!   Today I would like to show you a project I created for Paper Crafter’s Library members a few weeks ago.  As I walked through the isles of my local dollar store I saw these kraft colored paper mache boxes.  While the box itself was nothing special, my mind starting thinking about all the ways I could embellish this it and turn it into a beautiful box to house a special gift.  I embellished this particular box with felt flowers that I created, along with some tulle ribbon and various greenery stems that were purchased from my local craft store.

We have a video for our members here. (You must be logged in to view the video)

  1. That turned out amazingly. The pearls look so lustrous against the ivory, tan and gold; one of my favourite colour combos. Funny that they still call sprigs that aren’t green, ‘greenery’!

  2. A beautiful box for a special gift. The monochromatic colors add an elegant feelingnalong wth the pearls and Foch of shimmer. Great combination of casual and formal materials.
