Butterfly Thank You Card Featuring Hero Arts Stamps

Bring out the sunglasses, because today I’m sharing with you a fun, BRIGHT card I created with more of my new Hero Arts stamps.  Have I told you yet that I’m falling in love with Hero Arts stamps (in case you haven’t noticed LOL)?   The ones I used for my card today were ones that I received at that CHA Hero Arts class I told you about in my last few posts.

Here’s how I made today’s card:

  1. Dry emboss the front of a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Melon Mambo card with the Square Lattice embossing folder.
  2. Scallop one edge of a 2 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Chartreuse CS.  Center and stick a strip of the Garden Grove Cypress Street patterned paper from Scenic Route onto the scalloped CS piece.
  3. Stick the scalloped CS piece to the card front with Tombow liquid adhesive about 1/4″ away from the left edge of the card.
  4. Stamp the frame from the Sweet Threads Labels Hero Arts stamp set onto Whisper White CS in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Cut it out. Stamp the frame a second time in black ink and then stamp the “Thinking of You” greeting from the Find Joy Hero Arts stamp set in the center of the frame with Melon Mambo Classic ink.  Cut out the center oval and then stick it to the center of the first frame with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Stick the frame to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  5. Stamp the butterfly image from the Lauderdale Floral Hero Arts stamp set onto a scrap of Whisper White CS in Melon Mambo Classic ink.  Color in the center of the wings with a Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Write marker.  Embellish the butterfly with pink rhinestones and black pearls.  Stick the butterfly to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add a few extra pink rhinestones to the frame and DP.  You’re done!

  1. It’s funny…I have been thinking of this blog as Sophia’s blog and the other one as Andrea’s. Today you mixed it up…I almost wrote, cute and bright card Sophia…but, I mean, Andrea…

  2. LOVE these colors! I recognize the Stampin Up Melon Mambo, but what color group is the Chartreuse in? Makes one want to stop everything and start making cards.

  3. So nice to see the bright colours – especially because it’s so grey outside today! I’ve always liked Hero Arts – that’s a great butterfly.

  4. What a lovely cheery card ! With the temperatures dipping back into the frigid winter here in southern Quebec on Tuesday, it put a spring back into my steps!!! I can certainly see why you are falling in love with Hero Arts stamps – they are lovely !

  5. i was already a big fan of yours… but i just LOOOOOOOOVE this site.. i love to see you both using other products than SU and find it wonderful.. i just wish i would have the time to fully benefit from a membership.. so for now i’m holding back on it but sooner or later… i would love to have a try !!!

  6. Well what can I say but you did it again. I just love everything you do. The colors always compliment each other. Thanks for sharing.
