Polka Dot Smile Card Video Tutorial

While Andrea is away at Dinsey enjoying some family time, I was sitting here in the stamping studio dreaming of all the fun that they were having! I was in a mood to create something bright and colorful, this is what I came up with. I hope that you enjoy the tutorial!

 

Polka Dot Smile Card

For this card, I created a background from brightly colored strips of designer paper.  I cut each end of the strips on different angles creating a fun background. I painted the center portion of the chipboard frame then stamped the greeting onto the frame center. I inked and embossed the outer section of the chipboard frame with Basic Black Craft ink and Clear Gloss Super Fine embossing powder from WOW! embossing.The fun flower embellishments finish off the card!

Thanks A Million Card

Have you noticed what a HUGE trend hexagons are right now? Although Stampin’ Up! doesn’t have any hexagon dies, or stamps, Andrea noticed that one of the patterns of paper in the Twitterpated collection had hexagons. That’s when she had an “aha” moment – why not cut the hexagons apart?  Once the hexagons were all cut out, Andrea positioned them on her card, spacing them slightly apart so she could see some of the Pink Pirouette CS in between them.
