Blast from the Past: Altered Band-Aid Tin from the “A Touch of Romance” Valentine’s Class 2010

Isn’t this project adorable?  This little beauty was created in January of 2010 for the “A Touch of Romance” online class Soph and I ran through the Sunny Stampin’ Blog.  For this project Soph altered a little band-aid tin and then created some little “love notes” to go inside.  Since our “A Touch of Romance” classroom is no longer open, as a benefit to our Paper Crafter’s Library members, we have uploaded the video and instructions into the library – in fact we’ve been uploading all of our projects from that class, and will be uploading all the projects from all the online classes we ran in 2010 – there are some pretty cute ones!

Flashing back to 2012, today is our “Technique Thursday” day in Paper Crafter’s Library where we post our videos for our year-long technique Club called Club 52.  Although really, we probably should have called it Club 104 since each week we typically release two techniques.  We’re now on week 18, having started back in September. One of the unique things about Club 52 is that we don’t just throw techniques at you willy nilly,  instead we work in a “series” based on one medium – that way you really learn how to make the most of each medium that you own.  So far, we’ve explored dye ink pads, dye ink refills and shimmer paints.  This week we’re moving on to embossing, with Week 18 (this week), exploring a few of the basic embossing techniques. In the top tag Tracy shows you basic embossing with VersaMark and clear embossing embossing powder (as well as Iridescent Ice embossing powder), and in the bottom tag Tracy shows you how you can emboss any color of dye-based ink you own.

If you’re interested in checking out what we’ve covered so far, you can look at our Club 52 page.  If you’re a techique junkie and would like to learn new techniques (as many of them are ones we have created), or revisit old ones – you can still sign up from this page – you’ll be able to access all 18 weeks we’ve done so far, plus the remaining weeks, and your access to the classroom will last for 15 months.

We’ll be back tomorrow with our first Freebie Friday for 2012!
