Do you have a favorite fruit? “Wait. Before you answer that, are you a fan of delicious flavor?” –Shawn Spencer, “psychic” private eye from the hit TV series Psych
Pineapples are kind of a big deal- not only can you find a pineapple hidden in every episode of the TV show Psych, today they are showing up everywhere, and the paper crafting world is no exception! They are such a cheery fruit. Hopefully these cards will help you to hang on to a bit of summer just a little while longer! In honor of the hidden pineapples of Psych, today’s post includes a few great quotes from Shawn and Gus. In the interest of not “being exactly half of an 11 pound Black Forest ham” … let’s get started!
Katie made a gorgeous card with watercolors with a great little sentiment. Her pink pineapple goes with the sentiment just perfectly!

The background on Maureen’s card is so cool! I just love the stitched woodgrain look. The little bows on her pineapples are so cute.

JJ used a sentiment from the Avery Elle set to create a background for her pineapple. I like how the vellum helps make the watercolored (or is that watercoloured? “I’ve heard it both ways.”) pineapple the centerpiece.

This little hula girl on Kay’s card is adorable. She’s got a welcoming pineapple outside her fantastic tiki hut! My Favorite Things recently came out with a die to cut out the tiki hut; so cool!

Erin used the rock and roll technique (which she might have learned from ‘international rock icon Curt Smith, of Tears for Fears’) to produce the pineapple on her card. I love all of those happy green leaves on the top! She used the Pineapple Glasses set from Studio Calico, which allow you to add a cute face (and trendy bow tie!) to the already cute pineapple.

This cute little book by Kim is all ready for last summer’s memories to be added! It’s the perfect shape for those summer memories and certainly will get anyone’s interest when sitting on a coffee table (or on the dashboard of Burton Guster’s Blueberry!).

Gina used a cut file from The Cut Shoppe and some watercolors to create this beautiful framed art. Wouldn’t this make an easy gift?

Thanks for sticking out this sweet, fruity post and for tolerating my Psych references! Hopefully you have some pineapples in your stash or have added some to your wish list! Did you know that pineapples can be used as a sign of welcome and hospitality? This tradition came about because pineapples were usually a part of ships returning from far off travels. (Thanks, Wikipedia!)
LOVE the Little B pineapples and washi tape!!! SO cool!! Also the Prickly Pineapple art is pretty awesome!!! TFS!
This is a new trend on me…haven’t seen pineapples on anything. Cute!
These images bring back the summer memories 🙂
Ooooh, I love all these pineapples (and the Psych references!)! My crafting wish list is growing… 🙂
