Welcome to another Featured Artist/Designer Spotlight. Today we’re thrilled to welcome Bibiana Martinez-Ziegler . Before we show you Bibiana’sproject, let’s get to know her a little bit more…
“There are no “Must” in Art, because Art is free” – Wassily Kandinsky
Hello, my name is Bibiana, I am fom Colombia, South America. I grew up between Mexico and France and currently live in California, USA, where I discovered the Art of Scrapbooking, Mix Media and Card Making. As long as I can remember, my two worlds have been Languages and Arts. Nowadays, I teach French and Spanish and work as an interpreter/translator.
In the world of Arts, I have ventured into all sorts of crafts from crochet, knitting, refinishing furniture, to scrapbooking, mix media, stamping and lately in acrylic painting
I started card making and teaching it in 2008. I take part in several stamps, craft dies, and floral embellishments design teams (“Memory Box”, “Petaloo”, “Lost Coast designs”, “Lavinia” and “Decoart”).
I post tutorials of paper crafting projects and host a monthly link-up party
“The Throwback Thursday #TBT” challenge at my Blog “Stamping with Bibiana”
I write, as well two foreign language blogs (Spanish and French) for Memory Box, an American stamp and craft steel die company.
Parchment Craft
“Parchment Craft” is a very old form of art transforming vellum into magnificent pieces, using traditionally several special tools and techniques that require lots of patience, dexterity and time…
Taking from the quote from above;
I took the liberty to modify certain aspects of this ancient technique and apply to it our NEW and modern tools.
In today’s video you will see the use of steel craft dies and stamps to make “Parchment Craft”, innovation that I created in order to simplified the steps that “Parchment Craft” requires to achieve that lacy look.
I hope you will enjoy today’s video on “Parchment craft”.
