Today on the Paper Crafter’s Library blog, we’re continuing our weekly featured artist spotlight whereby each week we spotlight a different artist/designer in the paper crafting & mixed media world and introduce you to their fabulous work. Today we’re thrilled to welcome Ashley Harris.
Before we show you Ashley’s project, let’s get to know her a little bit more…
Hello, my name is Ashley Harris. I am a SAHM with a wonderful husband and 5 beautiful children. I love my life. I began loving this thing we call paper crafting when I started scrapbooking back in 2006. It began as a way to document my family’s memories and then it became a passion. I love taking paper and turning it into something to be shared and enjoyed. I love all aspects of this hobby from the creative process to working with other inspiring women to the lasting friendships I have made.
You Are My Sunshine
To make this card I first masked off the edges to create a clean border. Using Distress ink I created the background by using an ink blender. I then die cut the clouds and adhered them to the card. I then die cut the label and inked it with Distress ink. I stamped the image in watermark ink and then heat embossed it in gold. I adhered the label to the card with foam adhesive to finish it off.

What a sweet, simple, and touching card! I just Love your Masking Technique using the Distress Ink and a Blending Tool. Your colors are perfect! I also really like the edges on the Sentiment Die, because it draws my eye right to it. Thank you so much for sharing!
