Today on the Paper Crafter’s Library blog, we’re continuing our weekly featured artist spotlight whereby each week we spotlight a different artist/designer in the paper crafting & mixed media world and introduce you to their fabulous work. Today we’re thrilled to welcome Lynn Mangan.

Before we show you Lynn’s project, let’s get to know her a little bit more…

I’m thrilled to be back at the Paper Crafter’s Library sharing a project with all of you.

First off, a little about me.  I’m from Loveland, Ohio (just north of Cincinnati).  I’m a mom to four boys, Ryan, Jonathon, Collin and Marcel. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Pat. I work full time and I absolutely love creating cards.  Creating for me is the absolutely best relaxation.  I’ve been blogging since July 2009 and love this wonderful community of crafters.  My blog features my cards as well as our life with our four boys.  There is certainly never a dull moment!

As the school year comes to a close one of my go to gifts for my teachers is a set of cards.  I also like to see how I can stretch my stamps.  So, today’s project is a set of cards for all seasons. The card set features one stamp set and a variety of inks to make a set of thank you cards that can be used all year long.

First up is my winter card.  This card is in traditional Christmas colors, but uses the berry type stamp to look like holly.  For each of the cards, I used a strip of patterned paper.

The spring card features pinks for an Easter type theme.

Inks: Smoky Slate, Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink Classic inks

The summer card features bright, cheery colors for the colors of summer.  You’d see many of these at the pool with all the bright towels and beach toys.

And for fall, I switch to warmer colors.  For the leaves I first stamped them in yellow and then slightly tapped them in green ink to get a touch of the changing leaves in fall.

The card set featured eight cards total (two of each design) to make the perfect end of year gift for a teacher or a hostess gift.  I love to combine this with a set of stamps for the recipient.
