As a scientist who also enjoys paper crafting, I’ve always got my eye out for science-related crafty items. It used to be they were few and far between, but thanks to many stamp companies, including Lawn Fawn and Papertrey Ink, that has changed! Now that being a science geek has become much more trendy, thanks to shows like Big Bang Theory, crafters can join in on the science fun!
This set from Lawn Fawn and the matching dies have so much possibility!
I love Lizzy’s use of the little birds and the tipped flask.

The Great Chemistry set from Paper Smooches has a fantastic little mad scientist, whose hand can hold a number of the science tools in the set. I’ve also been told that a coordinating die set is in the works for these stamps, which will make them even more fun!

This card is in the running for one of my favorites. I love the use of marker to make the explosion effect on the scientist.

I was thrilled when Papertrey Ink released their Love Potion Stamp Set and matching dies just before my wedding, which allowed us to use trendy tubes filled with my husband’s favorite peanut butter m&m’s and cute flask tags as table favors.

My Partner-in-Crafting-Crime, Katie, produced this card for my birthday. The use of the honeycomb embossing folder is a great reminder that things you already have on hand just might coordinate with a science theme.

Chemistry-themed paper crafts don’t have to be limited to cards and tags. Silhouette sells a number of chemistry shapes that would be great for a science-themed birthday party, like many that can be found on Pinterest and elsewhere online. I wish I had had such a cool birthday party when I was nine!

My husband teaches chem so these are appealing to me!
Why does everyone think that you have to be either a Scientist and/or Nerdy to enjoy there Stamp Sets? I am neither by training, nor predilection, but they still gave me a great giggle and I own both the Lawn Fawn and the Paper Smooches Set. I like to think, and craft, outside of the stereotypes! I especially Love the use of the Flasks for Flower Vases. I am also just Loving the Satin Bubble/Dot Ribbon by Maya Arts. This would be perfect on a card with Fish, Whales, Turtles, and used as Air Bubbles.
Totally fun mix of chemistry themed designs, Laurie! I had no idea there were so many chemistry/science themed stamps and goodies out there! You’ve shown us a really great selection of cards that are fun and cute and clean and simple!
