Today’s Prize – Spellbinders Labels Four Nestabilities

Before we move on to today’s videos, I wanted to take a minute to introduce you to Spellbinders.

About Spellbinders

As a scrapbooking and craft enthusiast, Stacey Caron identified the market need for one die cutting system that could function in place of several existing tools. She wanted a comprehensive craft tool that would be universal with manufacturers’ existing products, cut, emboss, be portable, and be sturdy enough to withstand the test of time. As a result of Stacey’s entrepreneurial spirit, and her husband Jeff’s creative ingenuity, in 2003 the Wizard Universal Craft Tool was born, along with Spellbinders patented technology Die Templates for cutting, embossing and stenciling.

Spellbinders Paper Arts manufactures, markets and sells the Grand Calibur™ machine, a large format die cutting and embossing machine, and more than 250 patented and patent-pending products under the following trade names: Nestabilities®—nested die templates offering cutting and embossing capability in ¼” and ⅛” increments; Edgeabilities®—versatile edge and detail cutting die templates;Shapeabilities®—the first free-form, shaped die templates, offering the ability to cut or emboss in the center of cards and in any orientation.

Several new collections have been added since 2008, including: Borderabilities® Petite—5½” card making die templates featuring one-cut edges and elegant embossing detail; Borderabilities Grand—12″ scrapbooking die templates to create full-page borders;Shapeabilities Nested Sets – incrementally sized shaped die templates and Nesties®—Nestabilities sets that combine four die template collections for great savings.

In 2010, Spellbinders introduced the Presto Punch™ machine, the first automatic punching and embossing machine, and theGrand Calibur™ die cutting and embossing machine, which can die cut or emboss up to 8¼” wide.

Spellbinders continues to demonstrate ingenuity, integrity and trend setting ideas while remaining a family-owned, customer service oriented business.

Introduction To Spellbinders Grand Calibur

I wanted to start off today’s post with a video we released previously – Introduction to Spellbinders Grand Calibur – because throughout the week in all of our videos we reference cutting our Spellbinders die templates using the Grand Calibur. So for those of you that are not familiar with this machine, we wanted to show you all it’s features and exactly how to use it.  Now although the Grand Calibur is my die cutting machine of choice, you are certainly not limited to it – Spellbinders dies are compatible with other die cutting machines including the Big Shot and the Cuttlebug.

 Introduction To Spellbinders Nestabilities

Today we’re focusing on Spellbinders Nestabilities and Grand Nestabilities.  In the video below we’ll introduce you to these products as well as share with you some of their main features.

Cutting and Embossing with Spellbinders Die Templates

In this next video I begin by showing you how to die cut and emboss using your Spellbinders Die Templates and then take you through a whole bunch of other ways that you can use them such as creating mats, frames, window cards and shaped cards.

Using Spellbinders Dies as Stencils & Masks

In addition to their die cutting and embossing features, Spellbinders dies can be used as stencils and masks.  In the video below I share with you four different ways you can use your dies, die cut shapes and negatives as stencils or masks.

Love You Card

Okay, and now onto our projects for today. In this first project I (Andrea) show you how easy it is to create a simple yet striking card using one of the Spellbinders Nestabilities Heart Shape.  The letters I used on this card to spell out the word “love” are also Spellbinders dies, but they are the Presto Punch Noble Roman Lower Alphabet.  If you missed our video on the Spellbinders Presto Punch, you can watch it here.

  335. I have some nestabilities and quite enjoy their versatility. Would love to win another set.

  336. Thank you, thank you for offering this week of ideas and inspiration from PCL and Spellbinders! The video tutorials are great and packed with good ideas and tips. Really like the impact of color and simple graphics on the heart card.

  337. I can hardly wait to see a tutorial on how to combine M-bossablities with the shapes you’ve featured today (I’ve done so but would love to see additional ideas). Spellbinders are a staple in my crafting tool arsenal and always impress. Will you have any sneak peeks of the collections to be showcased at CHA this summer? Please, please, please???

  338. I love Spellbinders! They add such a special touch to any card project. Love em! Love em! Love em! I have quite a few of the basic nesties (ovals, scalloped ovals, rectangles) but I don’t have this one. I would love to add one more to my creative stash. I can see using this die often! Thanks! Trish

  339. I love the Spellbinder dies. I can’t use them with my SU demos but I make cards to send using Spellbinders Nestabilities. One company cannot possibly meet all or our creative needs. We are so lucky to have so many products available to us. Especially online. Thank you Paper Crafters.

  340. I love my eClips, but when it comes to dies I use the Grand Calibur or BigShot and I love the effects I get with nestailities. I can never wait to see the new ideas they have come out with. thanks for a chance to win my favorites.

  341. I love the versatility of the Spellbinder dies. Cut, mask, emboss. They do a great job. Thanks for all the videos.

  342. I think I already reviewed this but here it is just in case. Spellbinders was way ahead of the other cutting and embossing companies with their Nestabilities. I’ve been using them for a year or more and love them. Now that I am a Stampin Up Demonstrator I use them less because I can’t use them for Stampin Up Demos but I still send personal cards and do my own scrapbooking for family. Love that they emboss and cut.

  343. Never dreamed that using dies ie: Spellbinders would become such a big part of my crafting life. There isn’t anything that I do that doesn’t call for a die design on it. Unfortunately my Big Shot just DIED so am now contemplating on a Grand Calibur to continue my creative dreams.

  344. WOW ~ you certainly have lots of followers. Andrea, your videos are so well done and informational. I love the few sets of Spellbinder Nestabilities I have but can always use more. You’ve shown so many additional ways to use them ~ love their versatility. Thanks to you & Spellbinders for the chance to win!

  345. Wow. I have always loved the Spellbinders and any items that you can use for cardmaking to make interesting shapes. Every time I go to a Craft show I try and buy another shape to use it to create a mountain of designs. Keep up the good work. I must be a nerdy craft person and I am sure there are others in the same boat and I loooooove it.

  346. Awesome tutorials. I especially like the idea of the wax paper as part of the sandwich process. Also like the idea of the Self Adhesive magnetic strip to store the dies in the CD case. Right now I have it in the case but without the strips.

  347. Your videos are all so good, and those spellbinder do such a great job on the cards,
I love all those differant die cut shapes, and to have a chance to win is even better for all of us who take the time to leave a comment.
    Cheers Anna

  353. Learn something new every time I watch. Thanks for all your easy to follow tutorials

  354. OMG your never going to believe this, I was just watching Scrapbook Memories and Julianna Hudgins was on demonstrating the edge dies for Spellbinders. I loved it. She made some cards and a matching envelope with the edge dies. They were so pretty and elegant. I love them. I was just looking to see if any of the local craft stores had any coupons so I could go out and buy one of them. But maybe……I will win one!!!!! Wouldn’t that just be grand???????????????????????
Can’t wait to see who all the winners are this week!!!!!
