Free Project of the Week – Ribbons, Buttons and More – 05 10 2013

This week for our Free Project of the Week we have this Ribbons, Buttons and More card.  We’re heading into summertime and summer makes me think of gingham.  So, with the summertime theme, I headed for my May Arts Gingham ribbons.  I chose three colors of Gingham ribbon to stand out and be the focal point for this card.  With matching buttons and a simple greeting, who needs more!

Free Project of the Week – Funky For You – 04 26 2013

This week for our Free Project of the Week we have this Funky For You card.  I just love how this card came together.  I chose the patterned paper first then wanted to figure out how to use a few of the funky patterns.  I thought pop them!  So I die cut a few circles to highlight the patterned paper.  Adding in this simple greeting allowed the patterns to pop off the card.  This is a very simple and fun way to use patterned paper!

This week for our Free Project of the Week we have this You Make Me Happy card.  I absolutely love the colors and patterns in the Park Bench Collection from Fancy Pants Designs.  The patterns and colors are so easy to work with.  I started with the greeting and with the addtion of the Park Bench buttons over the beautiful patterned paper,  my “You Make Me Happy” card was complete!

Free Project of the Week – Floral Gratitude – 04 12 2013

This week for our Free Project of the Week we have a Floral Gratitude card I created which features these small five petal ribbon flowers using May Arts ribbons.  The flowers were super easy to create and yet are so cute.  They may a perfect accent not only for cards but would also look great on scrapbook pages or other projects. I used nice bold greeting from Artistique Designs – a new stamp line which has not yet been released (these are the pre-production samples).

Free Project of The Week: Washi Tape Birthday Card – 02 15 2013

This week for our Free Project of the Week we’ve got another quick and easy Washi Tape card for you.  Washi tape is one of those products that’s incredibly versatile as well as fun to use.  It comes in a multitude of colors, it’s not very expensive and it’s super easy to use.  In order to create this card I simply chose some complimentary colors of Washi tape in a variety of different patterns and then overlapped and layered them in differing lengths. If you don’t own any washi tape you can substitute with ribbon or patterned paper strips – they’ll just be a little more bulky.  Also, if you do substitute one of these items you’ll need to stamp your greeting differently as it won’t stamp cleanly over top multiple layers of ribbon or patterned paper.

Congratulations Video Tutorial – 02 01 2013

Stampin’ Up! is running their Sale-A-Bration event right now!  I absolutely loved the Sycamore Street Designer Paper and the Sycamore Street Ribbons and Buttons Collection!  The colors in the designer paper inspired me to create this card!  I pulled out the In Colors Collection with this pattern of designer paper.  I really loved the funky pattern, added in the greeting from Sassy Salutations and the buttons just helped to add the finishing touch!  I loved creating this card.

Fluttering Gratitude

I absolutely love butterflies!  These spring time colors and butterfly images made me momentarily happy and I forgot about the snow that is falling out side right now!  This Embossed Spotlight technique is a fun way to pull in a few different colors into any project.

Project Ideas Newsletter – Just Because

For today’s Project Ideas Newsletter I created this Just Because card.  The layout of this card is a great way to use up those scrap pieces of designer paper that we all have laying around.  The rounded corners on the bottom of the card and the beautiful Satin ribbon bow add those final touches to the card.

With Love Video Tutorial

We have been really busy this last week preparing for Christmas, as we know all of you have been.  We will be taking some time off to celebrate with our families,  which means that we will not be posting on December 24th, 25th or 26th.  Our next post will be viewable on December 27th.  We hope you all have a safe and a very Merry Christmas!

I had so much fun creating this card.  I have now moved on from my Christmas creating and decided to work in the pink tones!  The Artisan chipboard embellishments made it really easy to create this card.  With the addtion of a few rhinestones (I just love glitter and bling!) my card just came together!

Peace and Joy Video Tutorial

With Christmas just around the corner, we were very excited this week to release the Family Heirloom Printer’s Tray along with more Christmas card ideas!

This card is a great example of using stamps that you already have on hand for other purposes. The ornaments on this card were created using a balloon  image stamp. By stamping the balloons in traditional Christmas colors and turning them upside down, they make great ornaments, allowing for your stamps to be used in various or not tradional ways.
